PORAYAR: The two-day annual 'Pongu Tamil
Isai Vizha' (musical festival) commenced here.
Besides songs composed by the 'trinity of Tamil music' namely
Muthu Thandavar, Marimuthu Pillai and Arunachala Kavirayar
songs composed by Appar, Sundarar, Gnanasambandar, Muthu Thandavar,
Marimuthu Pillai and Arunachala Kavirayar, would also be sung
by musicians in the festival, organisers of the festival said
here.
