THOUGH IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE HE WAS `LIVIN' LA VIDA LOCA,' LATIN-POP SINGER -- NOW ON TOUR -- HASN'T LET THINGS COOL OFF

Ricky Martin is back in all his tight-pants, bon-bon-shaking glory, riding the recent wave of reggaeton with his latest release, ``Drop It on Me.''

A megastar before ever releasing an English-language album, Martin led the Latin-pop music movement in America with 1999's ``Livin' la Vida Loca.'' The Puerto Rico-born former lead singer of the interchangeable boy band Menudo released his latest album, ``Life,'' in October and performs Sunday at Oakland's Paramount Theatre.

After a few more concerts in the States and Puerto Rico, he heads off to perform March 25 at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, as part of the ``8th Wonder of the World'' concert series, which benefits UNICEF and various AIDS charities.
