What Critics say?

S.Karthick was especially striking for his approach to the totality of the concert. He was never 'too much'. Yet he put on his best, with tonal variations and appropriate rhythmic patterns, which contributed effectively to every section of the recital. With this sensitive quality so rare among percussionists today, he can be a single out as the best all-round musician of the festival, the man of the match so to speak.
- Statesman, Delhi, March-14, 1995

Some of the musical sounds Karthick produced from the Mud-Pot were simply dazzling.
- Trinity Mirror, Feb.-7,1997

Played soft percussive patterns to enhance the mood of sublimity...thani that followed was boisterous display of rhythmic energy....
- Indian Express, Dec-16, 1996

I must specially commend the admirable percussion support by Karthick on Ghatam...anticipated every move...provided complementary padding
- Subbudu, Indian Express, Dec-21, 1994

...The short tani-avarthanam has percentage perfection comparable to Gavaskar's impenetrable defense.
- The Hindu, June-28, 1996

With a nimble mind and nimbler fingers, he should be able to hold his own against any mridangam player.
- Sruti, Aug.1994

Feathery percussion movements... were lessons in restrained sublimity.
- Indian Express Dec-15, 1996

To focus the attention of the rasikas towards the percussionists and to help understand better the role-played by them in embellising a concert.
-(Concert report - Live Percussion accompaniment to recorded audio)

- Indian Express, June-29, 1997
