Professor Debu Chaudhari

Popularly known as DEBU, Devabrata Chaudhaari is one of India's outstanding musicians of the day. He received his early training from late Panchu Gopal Dutta and later from the seniormost traditional exponent of sitar, Ustaad Mushtaq Ali Khan of Senia Gharana, a traditional school of Indian music. Special feature of this senior gharana is that it represents an uninterrupted lineage of sitar players for eight generations. This is the only gharana in indian music which is still using 17 frets in the sitar.

Pandit chaudhari's recitals are marked by a rare sense of aesthetic grace and a sense of unexcelled sweetness. His latest contribution to Indian music is his creation of 7 In dian ragas, namely, RAGA BISWESWARI, PALAS SARANG, ANURANJANI, ASHIQUI LALIT, SWANANDESWARI, KALYANI BILAWAL and SHIVAMANJARI.

To promote Indian classical music Debu Chaudhari Has visted more than a hundred universities around the world and performed in various international music festivals.
