Vipin Aneja

The Person:

A simple man with simple interests is how one can describe Vipin. Blessed with a pleasant disposition, soft-spoken Vipin prefers spending his free time with his family, which consists of his parents, his elder brother, Bhabhi and two lovable nieces.

Vipin’s hobby is to listen to all types of music. His all time favourite song is “ Din Dhal Jaye Haye Raat Na Jaye ” by Mohammad Rafi from the Hindi Film “Guide”. Extremely health conscious, you’ll find Vipin dancing in his free time not only because he enjoys dancing but also because he believes that dancing keeps him fit and improves his stamina. An outdoors person, you can also catch him playing a game of tennis, bowling or even playing cricket, three of his favourite games.

The Singer:

Even without a formal training in the art of singing, Vipin Aneja has been wielding the mike from the tender of age of 4. He, in fact, even won a State Level singing competition at the age of 10 but it was only after he returned to India from the US after having completed his Bachelor of Business Administration, that he started taking formal training in music. Since then, for the past three years, he has learnt formal classical music from Pandit Balmiki Sharma, a protégé of Ustad Ghulam Hussain Khan of the Rampur Gharana. His penance has served him well as he won the National trophy at the All-India Sangam Kala Award 1996. He has also won the Azia Dausy award at the International Pop Music Competition held at Almaty, Kazakistan in 1997.

Soon after winning these awards, he made an impression in the minds of music lovers with remix release of the hit Qurbani number Hum Tumhe Chahte Hai Aise featured on Magnasound’s super successful Album “Club Class” released in 1998.

Magnasound spotted Vipin and his immense talent when he performed for this album (“Club Class”) but it bided its time to sign Vipin up as artiste and release “Teri Payal” because the company felt that the time wasn’t right to debut Vipin on the pop front. Now Magnasound is giving him his dream launch.

In between “Club Class” and “Teri Payal ”, Vipin has achieved a tremendous amount of stage experience and has evolved as an all-round entertainer. Today, he is the Associate Performer for International Giants such as “McDonald’s”, “Samsung IT”, “IBM”, and “Nerolac” which proves that Vipin’s appeal ranges from kids to grown-ups.

Apart from performing live on stage with people like Usha Uthup, Hariharan, Adnan Sami & Saapna, Vipin has also sung jingles in Bengali, Tamil, Kannada & English apart from his mother tongue Punjabi.

With “Teri Payal ”, Vipin hopes to leave an indelible mark in the minds of his listeners.
