An apoorva janya raga invented by
P.K.Rajagopala Iyer of Ambattur. This is an audava raga
derived from the 52nd mela Simhendramadhyamam^ Ri an
Dha are deleted in both arohana and avarohana^ Svaras
figuring in this raga is to be sung at night and it
is capable of evoking bhakthi and karuna rasas. Another
raga Soundamini has also got the same arohana and avarohana
derived from the same mela. In Hindusthani music this
raga is similar to he Mooltani and Malasree.
