This raga is derived from the 20th mela Natabhairavi. An ubhaya vakra shadava raga. Ri varjya in arohana^ Svaras taken by the raga are Sa^ Sadharana Ga^ Sudha Ma^ Pa^ Sudha Dha and Kaishiki Ni. Ga^ Ma and Ni are the raga chaya svaras. A raga closely allied to Kanakavasantha^ Saramati and Jayantasena. According to Dikshitar school^ this is an audava shadava raga with Ri and Ni deleted in arohana.
