An audava shadava janya raga derived
from the 22nd mela kharaharapriya. The notes taken by
this raga are shadja. A Ri varja raga and is upanga
in nature. Ga and Dha are the raga chaya svaras. Ga
an Dha are the raga chaya svaras. Dirgha Dha and Ga
lend beauty to this raga. Rahunatha Naik the king of
Tanjore is supposed to have iinvented this raga. Raga
Jayanth of H.M. is similar to jayantasena with the same
arohana and avarohana.
