An audava vakra shadava raga derived
from the 15th mela Mayamalavagaula. The svaras taken
by the raga are Shadja^ Sudh Ri^ Sudha Ma^ Pa^ Kakali
Ni and Sudha Dha^ Ga and Ni are deleted in arohana and
Ga in avarohana. A minor raga havin very popular in
Kathakali music. But is entirely different from the
Padi raga of Carnatic music. Annamacharya has composed
a large number of compositions in this raga. Gauri and
Gundakriya have slight resemblance with Padi.
