This raga is a nishadantya in arohana
and dhaivathantya in avarohana. This is derived from
the 22nd mela Kharaharapriys. A minor raga with limited
scope for alapana and prasthara. The closely allied
raga is Chittaranjani. According to Dikshitar School^
Saindhavi is a sampoorna raga without vakra sanchara.
