Natakapriya. A raga having madhyamantya sancharas. Svaras
taken by the raga are Sa^ Sudha Ri^ Sadharana Ga^ Sudha
Ma ^ Pa ^ Chatusruti Dha and kaishiki Ni. The Sindhubhairavi
in vogue today is not this type but is the one taken
from the Hindusthani Music. This is a shdava sampoorna
that belongs to the Asavari that. Arohana deletes Pa
its arohana and avarohana is s r g m d n s - s n d p
m g r s. The svaras taken by the raga are Sa. Komala
and Tivra Ri^ Komal Ga^ Sudha M^ Komal Dha and Komal
Ni^ Dha and G are the vadi samvadi svaras. Alapana is
made mainly in mandra and madhyasthayi. Considered to
be pleasant raga meant for mainly singing light classical
songs^ bhajanas etc.^ |
